We are proud to present the first issue of the Lafayette Global Review, Lafayette College’s first academic journal focusing on international affairs. Our publication was founded in the belief that undergraduate scholarship can meaningfully contribute to scholarly discourse on global trends and issues. Our publication reflects the intellectual curiosity of students at Lafayette College and their willingness to contribute to these conversations.
Two years ago, we realized that Lafayette students lacked the opportunity to publish academic literature on our campus. In late 2024, as a three-person team committed to bringing this opportunity to campus, we began the journal's development. Since then, our team has grown to over a dozen dedicated members. This was made possible only through the support of Lafayette faculty, the College, and our phenomenal staff. We are proud of all those who have been involved in this effort, and we are thrilled to share this publication with the broader campus and academic community.
We invite you to read this publication in the spirit of intellectual curiosity. Whether you are a student, faculty member, a part of the greater Lafayette community, an academic, or just curious, we hope these articles inspire further exploration.
Sincerely,
The Editorial Board
